ABOUT MY ART

Statement
My creative process starts from something that interests me—whether it is a compelling fact, narrative or artwork. Oil paint serves as my primary medium, as it is best suited for expressing the potential of new beginnings. The evolution of each piece often unfolds through both deliberate exploration and spontaneous discovery. I intentionally leave my work open to interpretation, creating a dialogue with viewers through layers of paint, line, color, and form. As the first viewer of my own work, I frequently find the final piece diverges from my initial vision, adding an element of discovery to the creative process.

I begin with an idea and then it becomes something else.” –Picasso
Bio
Since 2016, I have dedicated myself to oil painting while exploring various other media. My work centers on portraiture and storytelling, capturing subjects in action rather than static poses. Through my art, I explore the relationship between the individual and society, often drawing upon historical and contextual references. Based in Maryland, United States, I continue to develop my artistic practice and vision.
